Back to work tomorrow, as usual the weekend went by much to quickly...
SATURDAY:
Planted lots of seeds on the patio deck on Saturday-peas and green beans, tomatoes, hot peppers, lots of herbs (a couple of basils, chives, parsley, thyme, oregano, rosemary, lavender, etc), a pot of butterfly attracting flowers, moonflower and morning glory, poppies, and a strawberry pot. So far, not a lot has had time to sprout- just the peas, a little chives, something that I'm not sure what it is, it may be a weed, and what's clinging on from the strawberry runners I got from a freecycler last season. The boys enjoyed a trip for goodies to Pawsmopolitan and the sunshine made us all tired so everyone took a nap before heading to the local farmstand for some homemade ice cream.
SUNDAY:
We all mellowed out for the earlier part of the day. Added a few new black and white prints to the collage in the boys' room (guest room). Joey went to Boston with some friends to watch the Sox and Celts. Mom and the boys went for a walk, had some grilled balsamic salmon and organic mac n cheese for dinner. I also tried my hand at baking some cookies for the boys with honey, organic peanut butter, a pinch of cinnamon, a little pumpkin and blueberries.
Should be having a third (final) interview with Waste Management this week, please send any prayers you can spare for this great opportunity being made a reality.
Mom sitting on the floor...but so happy to see this sight
Some signs of life from the strawberry planter
Waiting to see what develops here...I think it is the bee balm seeds I scattered at the end of last season...only time will tell
Peas!
Hurry up and grow- the plants at least, Dex stay just the perfect way your are ;)
Left is chives, Right no idea, maybe a weed?
Here's the prints collage....
...Here's an idea of what I imagine it looking like finished. I want to mix in a few professional prints- just trying to find the right ones
