New Sweater for the 1st Day of Fall!

Mom was folding laundry- but Rocco took this big beach towel to snuggle on.

Busy weekend, Rocco is up-to-date on all his vaccinations as of Saturday. Mom is wearing his Rabies tag on her keychain :)

After the appointment with the Vet- at which Rocco was his usual happy-go-lucky ham self- he also got a nail trim.

Enjoyed the nice weekend weather- Saturday afternoon Rocco and Mom went with our neighbors and friends Lauren with her "kids" Foxy and Frye for a hike at Borderland State Forest.

Saturday night Rocco was very sore and tired from his shots and hiking....grumpy too. Too sore to try on his new sweater from Target.

Today is the 1st official day of fall- Rocco is back to his old playful, spunky self post vet visit so he was enjoying his handsome new sweater tonight!

King of the Kong

Rocco's favorite daily pasttime is playing with his Kong. It gives him something to do during the day and is a way to keep him stimulated too.

Here is Rocco enjoying a frozen Kong stuffed with banana, Kong liver treats and yogurt then frozen in the freezer over nite- as you can imagine- this keeps him busy for a little while!

Hide A Squirrel

Dad got Rocco a new toy at Petco today, Mom had been looking for it but it was always sold out. It is a stuffed animal dog puzzle called "Hide A Squirrel", it is basically a stuffed toy shaped like a stump with three stuffed animal "squirrels" (actually they're chipmunks) that are hidden inside. Also, you can hide treats inside which Mom plans to do during the week.

The Sacrificial Squirrel

This squirrel was a sacrificial squirrel. Once there were three squirrels, now only two. Funny thing was that Rocco broke the squeaker on one squirrel, but was playing with a squirrel with a working squeaker; he put away the one with the working squeaker and and proceeded to tear the stuffing out of the broken one.

Dad and Rocco take a (late) road trip to the Planet Dog Woofminster Dog Show and Cover Dog Contest. Rocco was in the Best of Show and had a 1 in 10 chance of winning. Unfortunately no such luck this time- but we will be back next year. Rocco was definetly Mr.Congenialuty though and it was a great Dad/Dog Bonding Trip to Maine and back. As you can see, Rocco was very, very tired later and spent the night with Mom and Sarah watching movies.

More fun with Orbee Golf Balls

ORBEE! Thank you Planet Dog!

Orbee toys are GREAT! They are a toy we discovered on Rocco's favorite website http://www.littlebeasts.com/- it is a blog about two Boston Terriers and we both love to look at the picture of the week and check out the live Boston cam. Orbee toys are made by Planet Dog and there globe toy with a rope was rated 5 out of 5 "chompers". We were psyched when Target started to carry this great brand, even more so when they went on sale, but we had to get a rain check because they were all sold out. Dad was nice enough to go to another Target and get one because we just couldn't wait! Unfortunately

Rocco pulled the continents off the Orbee glow in the dark ball on the first day and then broke the rope on the second day. I wrote to Planet Dog because we were so disappointed- Rocco really enjoyed the Orbee toy but couldn't not play with what remained except for under close supervision in case it was a choking risk.

PLANET DOG TO THE RESCUE! I wrote to Planet Dog with what happened and they promptly sent not one, but two of their doggy golf balls. Rocco was so excited, of course he wanted both right away, but one is safely tucked away in his toy chest. Lots of excitement with the new Orbee products!...though Mom isn't too sure about the "minty" flavor.

This is the after picture- playing with an Orbee is hard work!
