A Lil More Dexter Being Adorable

Dexter is almost completely mended from his corneal ulcer- his Mom and Daddy are very happy. Looks like he is giving his eye plenty of rest

A Weekend of Crafting

I am in the process of making baseball leashes to match the boys' Red Sox collars for the summer season. I am also making Spring-themed leashes for my friend and neighbor, Lauren, for her Yorkie and Chiuahua for her birthday. (I will post pictures when I finish)

Dexter's crate was too small and the zipper broken, so he got a new soft crate to match his brother. Basically, he went from a studio apartment to a penthouse! I made a new bed for the boys to match the color scheme/decor in the guest room (also the boys' favorite room because it gets full sun and has access to the patio). Dexter has claimed it as his own, and since it is a perfect fit for his new bedroom I guess I will be making another for Rocco soon.

The bed is a black and white trendy paisley print (the room has orange walls with white trim and black and white photo prints)

Dex spent the day sleeping on the futon on his new bed. Then for the Celtics game his new bed followed him to the living room

The birthday party to the Mendon Drive-In to see Wolverine got postponed because the weather prediction called for rain on Friday night- of course after we cancelled the weather turned out fine :( Postponed until next Saturday

Holy Super Swag, Batman!

A while back, I posted a reply to a thread about treats. I recommended Grandma Lucys which we had purchased their cookies and freeze-dried meatballs locally and LOVED them, they are hands down our dogs' faves. Grandma Lucys uses all natural, organic, human grade quality (I tried the cookies, they're good :))

Anyways on their website was a link for samples I posted to the Woofers (a Boston Terrier Board), and today we got an entire box of full size treats! We got two types of food, a large container of freeze-dried meatballs in cheeseburger flavor, a small version of freeze-dried treats and small dog size cookies (perfect for the Leos and tug-a-jug)!

I have never gotten such amazing, wonderful products free from a company- I loved the company before and now I can't recommend them enough!
p.s. I sent a package to Hooves and Hounds Farm too- Keep your eyes out!

All the Goodies

Send Well Wishes for Little Dexter

So it is mixed news for Dexter
Bad news- corneal ulcer, it's deep
Good news- we caught it at a treatable point, surgery isn't necessary at this point and he may come out of it without needing surgery and full eyesight restored
Eye drops every 2-4hrs at least, hourly would be best;Pain meds 2x/day
Poor Dex has to wear the cone

Follow up visit in 2-3 days

Pray he mends no worse for wear
